Best New Music: Wale, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, City Girls & More

With another seven days completed, we’re back with a new edition of our Best New Music playlist series. This week’s edition features new music from Wale, City Girls, Chris Brown and more. Dig in.

Wale makes his long awaited return with his new single “Max Julien,” his first drop under his new partnership with Def Jam Recordings. The Washington DC native reflects on the past year and the solitude he’s experienced. “I’ve been going through it lately/nobody give a f-ck but want to know more lately,” he raps. “I’ve been more alone lately, it’s no coincidence been saying ‘no’ more lately.”

Wale teased his return to music just one day prior with a post of himself on social media captioned, “My silence has been golden… see you on Friday. Folarin back.”

Up next, Rick Ross and Meek Mill exchange confident verses on their latest track, “Lyrical Eazy.” This song serves as the second single from their upcoming collaborative album “Too Good To Be True,” slated for release on November 10.

Additionally, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz kickstart the campaign for their joint album “Welcome 2 COLLEGEROVE” with the debut single, ‘Presha.’ Meanwhile, Chris Brown introduces the captivating vibes of “Sensational” in his latest release, featuring Davido and Lojay. Ab-Soul and Jay-Rock reunite for the track ‘Blowfly,’ showcasing their lyrical prowess.

In addition to these standout releases, we’re treated to new music from 21 Savage with “Call Me Revenge,” City Girls and Usher’s collaboration “Good Love,” as well as Lola Brooke and French Montana’s “Pit Stop,” and more.

Because we can’t always get them all. These are some of the best new music out now. All in one place for your listening pleasure. Not everyone cares.
