Drake appears to have fired back at Kendrick Lamar after the Compton rapper dissed both him and J. Cole on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.” In what seems to be a response titled “Push Ups,” Drake takes aim not only at Lamar but also at Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, Rick Ross, and even J. Cole.

Drake takes Lamar to task, rapping, “How the f*ck you big steppin with a size 7 mens on?”. He mocks Lamar’s recent output, suggesting his last album flopped and his label takes a hefty cut of his earnings.

“Your last one bricked, you really not on shit / They make excuses for you ’cause they hate to see me lit / Pull your contract ’cause we gotta see the split / Ain’t no way you doin’ splits bitch your pants might rip.”

He continues, “Maroon 5 need a verse, you better make it witty / Then we need a verse for the Swifties / Top say drop, you better drop and give him 50.”

Addressing specific bars from “Like That,” Drake raps, “Pipsqueak, pipe down / You ain’t in no big three, SZA got you wiped down, Travis got you wiped down, Savage got you wiped down / Like your label boy, you Interscope right now.”

The Weeknd and Metro Boomin Get Caught in the Crossfire

Longtime collaborator The Weeknd finds himself in Drake’s sights, likely due to his appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s latest album. “Claim the 6 and boys ain’t even come from it / And when you boys got rich you had to run from it,” Drake raps, referencing The Weeknd’s Toronto roots.  The Weeknd seemingly responded with a playful Instagram post of him enjoying the drama.

Drake also targets producer Metro Boomin, with whom he’s had past tension: “Metro shut your ho ass up and make some drums, n—a.”

Rick Ross Enters the Fray

Rick Ross, who appeared on “We Don’t Trust You” and unfollowed Drake on Instagram, isn’t spared.  Drake references Ross’ history as a correctional officer and alleges that Ross got every song on the chart from him.

“I might take your latest girl and cuff her like I’m Ricky. Can’t believe he jumpin’ in, this n—a turnin’ fifty,” raps Drake. Every song that made it on the chart, he got from Drizzy / Spend that lil’ check you got and stay up out my business.”

Ross was quick to head into the studio after Drake’s diss surfaced, releasing a song called “Champagne Moments” where he alleges that Drake got a nose job and stole his flow from Lil Wayne.

J. Cole Caught in the Middle

Cole, who initially fired back at Lamar with “7 Minute Drill” before apologizing and removing it, seems to get collateral damage from Drake. “Look, I could never be nobody number one fan / Your first number one, I had to put it in your hand,” he says, referring to “First Person Shooter,” his collaboration with Cole included on last year’s “For All the Dogs” that became Cole’s first song to top the Billboard Hot 100.

He later adds, “I don’t care what Cole think, that Dot shit was weak as fuck.”

The Hip-Hop Community Reacts

The rap world is buzzing with Drake’s alleged lyrics and the ongoing feud.  50 Cent weighed in, suggesting Drake “smoked” Lamar with the diss track, while The Weeknd posted a photo to his Instagram story depicting him eating popcorn and laughing.

This entire saga began on March 25th when Lamar dissed Drake and Cole in “Like That,” responding to their “Big 3” claim on “First Person Shooter.”

“Yeah get up with me, fuck sneak dissing / ‘First Person Shooter,’ I hope they came with three switches,” Lamar rapped. “Motherfuck the big three, n—a, it’s just big me.”

Lamar also didn’t miss the chance to take another a jab at Drake, cleverly referencing his latest album title, For all the Dogs.

“Fore all your dogs gettin’ buried/ That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary. Woof!”

Cole responded with his diss track “7 Minute Drill,” but later expressed regret for releasing it, calling it the “lamest shit” he did.
