Boosie Questions Why People Get “Bullied” For Not Agreeing With LGBTQ Narratives

Boosie

Boosie Badazz has responded to the social media backlash that accompanied his dislike for The Color Purple remake over it’s queer storyline. In a fresh post on X, the Baton Rouge rapper questioned why people get bullied for protecting their children from LGBTQ content.

“WHY IF SOMEONE DOESNT AGREE WITH THE  🌈NARRATIVE THATS BEING PUSHED WHY DO YALL SAY THAT THE PERSON WHO DOESNT ARGREE IS 🌈 THATS BULLYING ‼️” wrote Boosie. “WE HAVE A RIGHT AS PARENTS TO SAY ITS NOT COOL FOR A 7 N 9 YEAR OLD TO WATCH THIS. WE HAVE RIGHTS AS PARENTS TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AS MUCH AS WE CAN.”

“I HAVE NO PROBLEM AT ALL WITH 🌈  PEOPLE,” he added. “MY GRANDAD WAS A PREACHER (SOUTHERN BAPTIST) N IM JUST TRYNA RAISE MY KIDS WITH THE SAME BELIEFS N RESPECT WE WAS RAISED WITH ITS JUST THIS WORLD WILL HAVE U N A FIGHT TO DO SO‼️”

Boosie faced backlash earlier this week after he claimed he was forced to walk out of The Color Purple with his girls because of the movie’s lesbian narratives.

“I HAD TO WALK OUT THIS COLOR PURPLE  MOVIE ( N TWO OTHER OLDER COUPLES WALKED OUT ALSO.) BECAUSE I HAD MY LITTLE GIRLS WITH ME N IT SEEMED LIKE A  LOVE STORY GOOD ACTING BUT WHOEVER WROTE THE SCRIPT IS PUSHING THE NARRATIVE HARD AS A PARENT I WILL NOT LET MY LITTLE GIRL WATCH THIS FILM,” Boosie tweeted yesterday.

Although the Louisiana native claims he has no beef with the LGBTQ community, he previously made disparaging comments about Dwayne Wade’s transgender daughter, Zaya Wade and has claimed that television is making kids jgay.

He also reportedly turned down $250,000 to perform at a Pride event because it went against his morals.

“I’m not real for money. In that case, I would just sell my soul for anything,” Boosie said during an interview with The Danza Project. “I’ve been offered a quarter-million to go perform at an [LGBTQ] community event. Big money. I told them I have nothing against it at all. But that’s not what I push and that’s not what I believe in.

“A lot of people get that [misunderstood] because they act like I hate them,” he continued. “No. My assistant is gay. This man deals with millions of dollars for me. I trust gay people more than regular people.”
