Eminem is revered for his mastery of words, but even he can be blown away by a good lyric. The Detroit Icon rarely publicizes his reactions to other artists’ work. However, Lil Wayne‘s verse on Tyga and YG’s “Brand New” proved to be an exception.

Upon hearing the verse, the 50-year old took to Twitter, formerly X, to share his astonishment, writing: “Bro Wayne just said “got a bunch of zeros like a bag of new funyuns!!” FUCK why didn’t I think of that????,” Eminem wrote.

The line in question is lifted from Wayne’s verse on “Brand New” from Tyga and YG’s new collaborative album “Hit Me When You Leave The Klub.” On the song, Tunechi raps “Brand new money, brand new hundreds, got a bunch of zeros like a bag of new Funyuns.”

Lil Wayne hasn’t responded to Eminem’s shoutout, but it’s clear they both hold each other in high regard. The two have been at the top of the rap game for decades and have worked together on a handful of tracks including “Drop The World” and “No Love.”

Eminem continues to cement his status as one of the most successful and influential figures in music. According to ChartMasters, the 50-year old has now surpassed Led Zeppelin to become the 10th best-selling artist of all time, with over 207 million sales worldwide.

While Eminem’s legacy is firmly established, it’s not without its challengers. Rising Bay Area rapper Symba recently ignited a debate about Eminem’s self-proclaimed “Rap God” status, confidently stating that he believes he’s a superior MC.

“I respect Eminem on a level as a man,” he said during a debate panel at REVOLT World in Atlanta. “But as a rapper, I feel like I can name five better rappers.”

After acknowledging Em’s “fire” catalog, fellow panelist Tierra Whack outright asked him: “Wait, soo you think you’re better than Eminem?”

The “Hell Of A Feeling” rapper responded with a confident, “Yes… Anybody can rhyme words, [but] what are you saying?”
