Donald Trump has addresed his ‘unexpected’ meeting with Kanye West at Mar-a-lago this past Tuesday. In a post shared on his social media app, Truth social, Trump described Kanye West as “seriously troubled” for showing up to their planned meeting with 3-uninvited guests.
“So I help a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black, Ye (Kanye West), who has been decimated in his business and virtually everything else, and who has always been good to me, by allowing his request for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, alone, so that I can give him very much needed “advice,” wrote Trump per Rollingstone.
“He shows up with 3 people, two of which I didn’t know, the other a political person who I haven’t seen in years. I told him don’t run for office, a total waste of time, can’t win. Fake News went CRAZY!”
As previously reported on Rap Aesthetics, the artist formerly known as Kanye West along with far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos and popular conspiracy theorist Nick Fuentes had dinner with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida last week. In a “Mar-a-Lago debrief” video posted on Twitter on Thursday (Nov. 24), Ye West claimed Trump was impressed by Nick Fuentes, but was “perturbed” when he asked him to be his running mate for the 2024 presidential election.
“When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was gonna lose,” Ye said in the video. “I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history? I’m like, ‘Woah woah, hold on, hold on, Trump. You’re talking to Ye.’”
Donald Trump broke his silence on the meeting shortly after, claiming he had no idea who Nick Fuentes was prior to the “quick and uneventful” dinner.
“This past week, Kanye West called me to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “Shortly thereafter, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about. We had dinner on Tuesday evening with many members present on the back patio. The dinner was quick and uneventful. They then left for the airport.”
The former POTUS claimed West came to him for business advice, and that he told the Grammy-winning rapper not to run for office.
“Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was asking me for advice concerning some of his difficulties, in particular having to do with his business,” Trump added. “We also discussed, to a lesser extent, politics, where I told him he should definitely not run for President, ‘any voters you may have should vote for TRUMP.’”
He continued, “Anyway, we got along great, he expressed no anti-Semitism, & I appreciated all of the nice things he said about me on “Tucker Carlson.” Why wouldn’t I agree to meet? Also, I didn’t know Nick Fuentes,” Trump added.
In his “Mar-a-Lago debrief,” West also claimed Trump made degrading remarks about Kim Kardashian, but 45 did not address the allegations in his post.
