Despite the disappointing performance of his last album, Magic 2, Nas isn’t relenting on his promotional efforts. Today (Aug. 21), the Queensbridge legend has shared a new video for “Black Magic,” one of the album’s standout tracks.
The video, directed and edited by Razak Ologunebi, showcases Nas rapping across diverse settings, from a dimly lit room adorned with red candles to an opulent apartment. The video also features a number of visual effects, such as floating orbs and distorted images.
The video begins with a disclaimer from Nas: “I Gotta emphasize, I ain’t down with that mystic stuff.”
This new visual release follows the recently dropped video for “Motion,” both of which are featured on the New York rapper’s latest album, “Black Magic 2,” which debuted at No. 41 on the Billboard 200 behind 16,574 units sold.
