New York, NY – Hip-hop legend Nas has released his 16th studio album, Magic 2, the sequel to his 2021 Hit-Boy executive produced album Magic

The album is 11 tracks long and features a mix of hard-hitting beats and soulful grooves. Nas’s lyrics are as sharp as ever, and he tackles a wide range of topics on the album, including his legacy as a rapper, the dangers of gun violence, and the state of the world.

The album opens with the track “Abracadabra” a boastful diss track aimed at Nas’s critics. The Queensbridge lyricist takes aim at those who have doubted his ability to stay relevant in the hip-hop world, and he delivers some of his best lines on the album.

Another highlight from the album is “Office Hours” featuring 50 Cent. Prior to the album’s arrival, 50 Cent took to Instagram to ramp up the excitement for his feature.

“Yal ain’t herd me in minute, @nas felt like it was time so it’s done. Check us out Friday 7.21 MAGIC 2 (Office Hours) QGTM Boom,” he wrote in his caption underneath the Magic 2 cover art.

On “One Mic, One Gun,” Nas breaks bread with 21 Savage and gloats excessively about his achievements and status in hip hop. The collb was originally released last fall as a sign of good faith after 21 Savage claimed “Nas was not relevant in today’s music scene.” On the joint, 21 gave the rap pioneer his flowers, rapping: “when you turn a legend, no such thing as relevance”

“Magic 2” is Nas’ fifth project in 3 years. The Bravehearts veteran has been on a rampage, which began with King’s Disease in 2020. He continued the run with King’s Disease II in August 2021, and released the first Magic album three months later.
