An alleged leaked text exchange between Pusha T and Kanye West from January 2022 has recently surfaced online. The purported message shared by a Reddit user offers a glimpse into the potential reasons behind Pusha T’s decision to distance himself from Kanye in late 2022.
In his message, Pusha T expressed anger and disappointment over Kanye’s actions and lack of, particularly during his feud with Drake.
“I put out the song because he dissed me and mentioned my wife in a song,” Pusha reportedly wrote, likely referring to “Story of Adidon.” He further criticizes Kanye for allowing Drake to disrespect him and his family, suggesting this is a reason for strained relationships within the West household.
“You let Drake disrespect you, your wife, and your family. That’s why you can’t get your wife to respect you.”
“Don’t blame me, Kanye. I would never shoot anybody for you, you would snitch on me.” The message concludes with a reiteration of feeling unappreciated: “I’ve held you down and u don’t appreciate me.”

It’s important to note that the authenticity of the leaked message remains unconfirmed. However, it aligns with Pusha’s public statements about Kanye. In a late 2022 interview with XXL, he confirmed his departure from G.O.O.D. Music, citing Kanye’s anti-semitic remarks and their fundamental differences in values.
“It’s beyond that and it’s nothing to tap dance around,” Pusha said. “It’s wrong. Period. But to me, it’s just me and him having a difference of opinion yet again. ’Cause we done had this for years.”
He further mentioned their limited communication and his disapproval of Kanye’s recent statements on Alex Jones’s InfoWars show, “He’s not speaking to me now. If you ain’t with it, you ain’t down. And I ain’t with it. I’m not budging on that. I’m not with it. I heard about this new stuff [on InfoWars]. I don’t know. It’s something that just sort of tells me he’s not well, at the same time. I will say that. It’s going to places where it’s no way to move around it.”
While their professional relationship under G.O.O.D. Music has ended, Pusha confirmed that he remains with Def Jam, enjoying a 50/50 partnership with the label for both his solo releases and his Heir Wave Music Group label.
