Sexyy Red has had an eventful 48 hours in the spotlight. After publicly professing her love for former U.S. President Donald Trump, the St. Louis native appeared to inadvertently leak her sex tape on her Instagram stories before swiftly deleting it.
Social media users caught wind of the explicit clip and it quickly went viral. Many speculated the recording was an accidental leak, while others suggested that it may have been a deliberate move to shift focus away from her controversial endorsement of Donald Trump.
During an episode of the Theo Von podcast this past weekend, the Pound Town Hitmaker voiced her support for Donald Trump’s potential return to office, claiming he’s loved in the hood’.
“I like Trump,” Sexyy Red shared in the interview. “Yeah, they support him in the hood. At first I don’t think people was f***king with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s**t against women,” she continued. “But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Awe, baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office.”
One X user commented in reaction to the leaked video, “sexyy red is low-key smart for posting her sex tape… she’s currently in a scandal for being a fan of donald trump, but due to the fact this isn’t her first time getting leaked she exposed herself to get the attention off that situation… i gotta give 10’s!”
Another X user added, “if we rlly think about it , sexyy red def posted that on purpose to get us to forget about the trump comment .. 10’s for that.”
Conspiracy theories also found their footing, as one user speculated, “Sex tapes just don’t randomly pop up in ig stories.. I feel like this is one of sexyy red’s industry initiation rituals. All them celebrity shoutouts, photo opps and regional radio spins before anyone knew who she was come at a price.”
