Trippie Redd’s ‘A Love Letter To You 5’ First Week Sales

Trippie Redd‘s latest album, “A Love Letter To You 5,” was initially expected to sell around 32,000 copies in its debut week. However, the official Billboard figures tell a slightly different story, with the album managing to surpass those projections by selling 38,000 copies.

Many fans of the Ohio rapper have suggested ALLTY5 is possibly the weakest installment so far in the series that began in 2017. In comparison to ALLTY5’s numbers, 2019’s “A Love Letter To You 4” sold 104,000 album equivalent units and debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200.

Released on August 11 through 1400 Entertainment/10K Projects, the album comprises a collection of 19 tracks, featuring collaborations with notable artists such as Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch, and Bryson Tiller.

“A Love Letter To You 5” marks Redd’s second release of 2023. In January, the rapper surprised fans with Mansion Musik, a 27-track mixtape. The project featuring Lil Baby, Future, Ski Mask The Slump God, and Rylo Rodriguez quickly became Redd’s seventh consecutive top five album, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Trippie later revealed that he was forced the rush-release the project because all of the tracks were being “held for ransom” by unidentified hackers.

Redd will embark on his Take Me Away tour to support the album starting on August 31 at Somerset Amphitheater, in Somerset, WI, with stops in Toronto, ON, Brooklyn, NY, Los Angeles, CA and more before wrapping up on Monday, October 9 in Seattle, WA at WAMU Theater. Special guest LUCKI will join across all dates on the tour, along with D.Savage, Ekkstacy, and K Sauve. Jean Dawson will also join on select dates.
