Drake’s Dad Fires Back at Rappers Dissing His Son

Must Read

Drake‘s father, Dennis Graham, took to social media to defend his son against what he perceives as a coordinated attack from several rappers. The controversy began with the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s new album, “WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” which many fans believe contains several digs at Drake.

One of the album’s tracks, “Like That,” features a verse from Kendrick Lamar that some see as targeting Drake and J. Cole.  Future seems to join in on the perceived disses on the album’s title track, “We Don’t Trust You,” where he hints that their feud stems from a woman.

Further fueling the speculation, Metro Boomin sent out a cryptic tweet urging rappers to “pick a side.” Interestingly, Nav and Rick Ross unfollowed Drake on Instagram after the tweet, leading to speculation about where their allegiance lies.

Taking to his own Instagram account, Dennis Graham fired back in a since-deleted post, seemingly targeting Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, and any other rappers involved in the alleged beef. In a sarcastic tone, Graham suggested using fabricated beef to promote his own music.

“Yo I am about to drop some new music and I am not sure if it’s going to sell,” the older Graham wrote on Instagram. “But I am going to call some of my homies and get them start a beef with Drake and get them to unfollow him and that’s going make my s**t shoot up to number 1, I’m sure this is going to work so let me get some people on board for this and watch what kind of attention this gets! I WILL BE NUMBER ONE 1Day!”

Meanwhile, Metro Boomin addressed the rumors on X, urging people to focus on the music rather than speculation. “Y’all need to stop making stuff up for engagement and enjoy the music,” he wrote.

Rumors of a rift between Future and Drake have circulated for the past year, with both artists addressing the issue in their music. Last year, Drake’s song “What Would Pluto Do” was seen as a shot at Future. It appears Future is now responding on “We Don’t Trust You,” suggesting their feud stems from a disagreement over a woman.
