Drake Drops ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ With A.I. 2Pac Verse

Must Read

Drake continues to apply pressure on Kendrick Lamar. Hours after releasing his previous diss track “Push Ups” on all streaming platforms, the Canadian rapper shared a new song titled “Taylor Made Freestyle” featuring A.I.-generated vocals from Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.

The song released on Instagram incorporates Tupac’s voice addressing Kendrick directly. The lyrics reference the West Coast vs. East Coast rivalry, with Tupac urging Kendrick to step up and defend the West Coast’s legacy:

“Kendrick, we need ya, the West Coast savior / Engraving your name in some hip-hop history/Call him a bitch for me / Talk about him liking young girls as a gift for me.”

Snoop Dogg joins the fray with his own computer-generated verse, urging Kendrick to make a strong response to Drake’s challenge. He advises Kendrick, “Nephew, what the f*ck you really ’bout to do? We passed you the torch in the House of Blues.”

Drake then jumps in with his verse, acknowledging the ease with which he created “Push Ups” and promising a more scathing attack on Kendrick in the future.

“The first one really only took me an hour or two / Next one is really about to bring out the coward in you,’ Drake raps.

He cleverly spins Kendrick’s silence by suggesting it’s due to the cultural buzz surrounding Taylor Swift‘s new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

“But now we gotta wait a fucking week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top/ And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve / This girl really ’bout to make you act like you not in a feud.”

Later in the track, Drake adds, “Shout out to Taylor Swift, biggest gangster in the music game right now. You know, I move my album when she drop, I said that already.”

Although K Dot is yet to respond to any of Drake’s disses, the Compton rapper threw the first blow when he dissed both Drake and J. Cole on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”

Rumors swirl that Kendrick might unleash a full-fledged response on his upcoming album, as hinted by Mal on the Rory & Mal Podcast.
