Music producer Irv Gotti recently suffered a stroke, according to hip-hop talkative Wack 100. During a recent podcast episode, Wack 100 shared that he had spoken with someone at a stroke recovery center who informed him about Gotti’s health issues.
Wack claimed to have received photos of Irv during his recovery, including one image where the producer is seen walking with a cane. Wack described the cane as a “walker” and suggested that the photo was taken outside a recovery center. He added that Gotti appeared to have “lost a lot of weight” during his health crisis.
Wack then urged fans to “pray for Irv Gotti,” noting the producer’s ongoing health issues, particularly his struggle with diabetes.
However, a representative for Irv Gotti provided a different account to TMZ, stating that the producer experienced a minor stroke more than six months ago due to complications from his long-term battle with diabetes. According to the representative, Irv has since adopted a healthier diet and made a full recovery. “Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life,” the rep clarified.
Gotti himself has previously discussed his health struggles publicly. On the “Drink Champs” podcast last year, he spoke about how his diabetes was deteriorating his body. He admitted that he had not been consistent with his insulin regimen and had difficulty following his doctors’ dietary recommendations.
In addition to his health challenges, Irv Gotti is facing legal troubles. Last month, he was sued for sexual assault and rape by a woman who alleges that she was in a relationship with him between 2020 and 2022. The woman claims that Gotti raped her multiple times in various locations, including Atlanta, Miami, and Saint Martin.
Irv has vehemently denied these allegations.
