Kanye West recently took to social media to crown himself the undisputed “Greatest Of All Time” (GOAT). The rapper made the claims amid recent feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
In text written over a white background on Instagram, Ye declares dominance over the two. He references specific moments, like his song “No More Parties in LA” which features Kendrick Lamar and his performance at the Free Larry Hoover concert.
“EVERYONE KNOWS I WASHED KENDRICK ON NO MORE PARTIES IN LA. EVERYONE KNOWS I WASHED DRAKE AT THE FREE HOOVER CONCERT,” he declared.
Next, he throws shade at Adidas, claiming he not only brought them cultural relevance but also “took them out.” He then flexes his influence in the fashion world, mentioning his collaborative past with industry giants like Demna Gvasalia, Virgil Abloh, and Jerry Lorenzo.
“EVERYONE KNOWS LOTTA DEMNA VIRGIL JERRY KIM ALL WORKED FOR ME.”
Ye also reflects on his discography, mentioning albums and songs that have been critically acclaimed.
“I MADE YEEZUS DARK FANTASY PABLO GRADUATION THRONE 808S. I MADE RUNAWAY DEVIL IN A NEW DRESS FATHER STRETCH.”
He also boasted about being the “only person to come back to number one after cancellation,” referring to his chart-topping record “Carnival.”
He concludes his bold declaration with a mic drop: “There is only one GOAT. I stand by me. My friends call me Ye.”
Kanye West, now known as Ye was seemingly blackballed following a series of inflammatory statements about Jewish people. These included threatening to go, “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE” and suggesting on “Drink Champs” that Jewish people control the media and Hollywood.
His incendiary remarks triggered a cascade of consequences, leading to broken relationships and business setbacks, including a severed partnership with Adidas. This cost him dearly, with his net worth dropping from a reported $2 billion to $400 million.
Despite these challenges, Ye bounced back with his latest album “Vultures 1” topping the Billboard 200 for two weeks.
