Nas Sets Release Date for “Magic 3” on His 50th Birthday

New York, NY – Nas is currently on his second prime. The iconic rapper has dropped five projects in just three years, and he’s gearing up for his sixth.

The Bravehearts veteran is set to release the third installment of his Magic series on his 50th birthday (September 14), marking an end to a remarkable album journey with producer Hit-Boy, which began with King’s Disease in 2020.

The ‘Illmatic’ creator took to social media on Tuesday (September 12) to share the album’s cover and release date, featuring a striking black and white portrait of the Queensbridge legend.

“I want to thank everyone for taking this ride with Hitboy and I,” Nas wrote in the caption. “It’s been nothing short of magical! The album drops on my birthday. Thursday 9-14 at 9pm. Forever grateful, Enjoy!! Nasir Jones.”

Fans flooded the comments section with their enthusiasm for the upcoming release. Hit-Boy, the album’s producer, expressed his gratitude and later added, “Tears of joy.”

Rapper RMean chimed in, “To end this historic run on your 50th bday the same year that hip hop turned 50 with 6 epic albums in 3 years. History [goat emoji].”

One fan praised, “The best run in hip hop history.”

Nas delivered his last LP, Magic 2, in July, following King’s Disease III last November. Magic, the first installment, was released in 2021, followed by Magic 2 in 2022. All three albums were produced by Hit-Boy.

The legendary emcee dropped a cryptic video clip a few days prior, hinting at “the finale.”
