Nicki Minaj fans will have to wait a little longer for her new album, “Pink Friday 2.” The rapper announced on Instagram Live on Tuesday night that the album’s release date has been pushed back from November 17 to December 8, which is her birthday.

Minaj expressed her profound affection for the LP, stressing its importance in her career. “I have never in my life been so in love with something I’m working on,” she said. “Pink Friday 2, the album, is something that’s been coming for the last 5 years. This entire album will be the biggest gift I’ve ever given humanity thus far.”

She continued. “I can stand by that, I will bet any amount of money that Pink Friday 2 the album is going to make people fall in love immediately.”

Before divulging the new date, Minaj clarified that it was not influenced by the release of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s joint album, “Welcome 2 Collegrove,” which was coincidentally set for the same day. She noted her close relationship with the Young Money founder, assuring fans that he would never interfere with her album launch.
