The feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj continues to escalate, with recent events adding fuel to the fire. Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband and a convicted sex offender, received a 120-day house arrest sentence on September 20th for threatening Cardi B’s husband, Offset, during an Instagram Live session.

In response, Nicki Minaj took to Instagram the following day to highlight the perceived industry bias towards her and her challenges. She recounted two incidents where her home was targeted, and expressed frustration that these serious matters received little attention.

“2 times my home was surrounded by large guns. This person wanted a family with a 2 year old to be shot at. Yet, nothing on any blog,” Nicki Minaj began, referring to the numerous swatting attempts on her Hidden Hills, CA home.

Minaj also called out the apparent “snitches” in the music industry who she believes are hindering the apprehension of the person responsible for the repeated swatting attempts.

“This same person made a false claim to CPS. When you have snitches in high places of the music industry who don’t want you to win but realize they can’t stop you because God’s anointing in my life is very real. Funny how this person hasn’t been found, mentioned, arrested, nada. It’s still protect black women or nah??? no sympathy needed,” she added.

She further insinuated that Cardi B might be the “snitch” and suggested she might dox her.

“Can’t call the cops every time you flop. just saying,” she wrote, with many alluding her comments to be about Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s new song “Bongos,” which was poorly received by critics.

“Barbz, tmrw ima tell yall who to swat since swatting a home with a baby isn’t a felony. Let’s GOOOOOOOOO. #PinkFriday2 11.17.23 #BigDifference #LastTimeISawYou #ProtectBlackwomenSometimes?”

Kenneth Petty’s recent sentencing stems from his failure to register as a sex offender in California, a violation of his probation. Consequently, he faces electronic monitoring and will remain confined to his Calabasas residence, where he resides with Minaj.

Amidst these events, Cardi B refuted claims that she or Offset reported Kenneth Petty’s threats to authorities. She responded to a conversation started by blogger Ken Barbie, who quote-tweeted court reporter Meghann Cuniff’s statement: “THANK YOU! Because they’re definitely trying to flip the narrative like this man didn’t do what he did on Instagram and tag every blog in it. Be mad at him and HIS friends.”

“Exactly keep me and my mans out yall f***in mouth!!!” Cardi wrote in response.

Meghann Cuniff, a court reporter, highlighted that no external report was necessary for Petty’s probation officer and judge to take action.
