ScHoolboy Q‘s sixth studio album, “Blue Lips,” has been met with anticipation from fans. However, the album’s sales are expected to be significantly lower than his previous releases.

According to HDD, “Blue Lips” is projected to sell 30-35K units in its opening week. A huge decline from his last album, 2014’s “CrasH Talk,” which sold 81K equivalent album units in its first week and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.

ScHoolboy Q released Blue Lips, on Friday after a five-year hiatus. The album contained 18-tracks with guest spots from the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Childish Major and Ab-Soul.

Shortly after the album’s release, the LA native took to social media to express his frustration with Spotify, claiming that he was unable to play his own music on the streaming service.

“Wait.. I can’t even play my own sHit [palm on face emoji],” he wrote. “Umm @Spotify @Interscope I know I’m not the only 1.. only rappers get did like this smH.”

Q’s since-deleted post included a screenshot of him trying to play Blue Lips on Spotify but only two songs — “THank God 4 Me” and the previously released single “Yeern 101” — were available.

In response to a fan’s question about a deluxe version of the album, the TDE rapper explained that he would not be releasing one.

“Labels & artist kinda killed da deluxe [shrugging emoji] it’s a scam.. no way I’m adding 3-4 songs to my album a week after it drop [laughing emoji]. I work 2 Hard on my craft for a extra 2k in sales [laughing emoji] nobody cares.”
