Amid the chatter surrounding Billboard’s 50 Greatest Rappers Of All Time List, Tyga has weighed in on the conversation. The 33-year-old took to Twitter on Friday (March 24), to declare Lil Wayne and Eminem the greatest rappers of all time.

“Lil Wayne & Eminem are the best rappers of all time!” Tyga tweeted. He then explained what separates them from the others.

“I learned the hustle,” said Tyga. “‘Cause like, Wayne’s not a person—he don’t really like, talk much… so you gotta like, pick up on his ways and the way he moves.”

Tyga added, “The work ethic, I learned from him. It was like, whatever he was doing, he made sure whatever city was we in, we was gon’ be at the studio ’til noon or 1:00 p.m. the next day. All night.”

“I will tell you that I am a motherf-cking one. Everybody whose names you named, they also know I’m number one. Go ask ’em. They know what it is,” he told Apple Music.

Eminem is yet to react to the list, but veteran hip hop artist, Melle Mel believes the Detroit rapper, who is ranked No. 5 on the controversial list only made the placement because of his skin color.

“If Eminem was just another n-gga like all the rest of us, would he be top 5 on that list. When a n-gga that can rhyme just as good as him is 35,” Mel said.

“Anybody can feel how they wanna feel, if they don’t think that race plays a part in the equation of how great he is,” he added.
