Blueface‘s freedom is on hold for the foreseeable future. The ‘Thotiana’ rapper is facing a lengthy stay at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles after turning himself in on Friday (January 12) for violating his probation.
TMZ reports that the rapper will remain locked up until July 2, 2024.
This comes after Blueface appeared in a court hearing on January 12 to address a probation violation stemming from a 2021 assault on a security guard at a San Fernando Valley club.
“I’m handling some mandatory issues man,” Blueface said in a video captured as he entered the courthouse. “I’ll see you on the other side.”
Adding a dramatic twist to the story, footage emerged on Monday (January 15) showing Blueface turning himself in with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Chrisean Rock and their son, Chrisean Jr. Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, also appears in the video, discussing the situation with the rapper’s legal team.
The video sparked online debates, with many praising Chrisean Rock for her support despite their tumultuous relationship. However, Wack 100 quickly debunked the notion of support, claiming Rock’s presence was merely “a clout move.” He further went on to blame the reality star for Blueface’s incarceration.
“CAP JUST A CLOUT MOVE,” Wack 100 wrote on Instagram. “SHES THE REASON WHY HES IN THERE. KNOCKOFF THE CAP.”
Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, echoed similar sentiments, pointing fingers at Chrisean Rock and Blueface’s other baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis.
“Lord knows our hearts are praying for Jonathan,” Saffold wrote on her Instagram Story. “Jaidyn got him one charge, Rock got him the one that violated the other. That’s why it’s so quiet praying everyone understands now why I didn’t want them together. Because parents want what’s best for their children. I love them all but not together. Praying for everyone to listen to their parents.”
In response, Chrisean Rock clarified on Instagram Live, stating, “Y’all like, why is Blue locked up? I feel like it was multiple accounts when he violated his probation. I guess the one with me. No, I don’t know, honestly. He didn’t get locked up; that’s the crazy thing.”
