Drake is thoroughly enjoying his “It’s All A Blur” tour. Notably, fans are tossing bras onto the stage, and what happens behind the scenes is anyone’s guess. During a recent tour stop, the Certified Lover Boy playfully hinted at his single status, evoking cheers from his female fans.
“I’m so glad I’m single on this tour because I just don’t have to feel guilty at all,” he declared. “Imagine if I was married or some s—t and girls were just hitting me in the face with just Titties every night. How would I go home and explain that to everybody.”
“I’m so glad I’m single, and ready to mingle by the way,” he added. Watch the clip below.
Although Drake, born Aubrey Graham is not in any known public relationship, the Canadian superstar has a 5-year-old son, Adonis Graham, with Sophie Brussaux. In a now-removed interview on “The Really Good Podcast,” with Bobbi Althoff, he discussed his reservations about marriage.
“I don’t know. It seems like a thing of, like, ancient times or something,” Drake said while sipping on a fruity drink. “I think I will eventually… I don’t know, I don’t think I can offer somebody what they’d be looking for. Just consistency. I think my life, my work is my priority.”
The 36-year-old artist refuted any notion of wanting to “sleep around” as a deterrent and emphasized that his decision stems from a genuine concern about not wanting to disappoint his eventual partner.
“I don’t wanna get married ’cause like, I just don’t wanna disappoint someone, and I’m not like, Amish,” he added.
Later in the interview, the OVO boss clarified that he values individuality and a good sense of humor in a potential partner, adding that he’s more drawn to someone unique rather than a carbon copy of others he’s encountered in the industry.
“I like somebody that’s, like, their own,” he elaborated. “They’re not just not like a carbon copy, like a person that I’ve seen a bunch of times throughout my existence. I like somebody with like a sense of humor, you know?”
“I probably will not end up marrying someone famous,” he said. “Famous people really aren’t that, like, anything. They’re not that intriguing.”
Fans of the rapper behind hits like “Over,” “Hotline Bling” and “Headlines” are currently on high alert for the release of his often-delayed album “For All The Dogs,” with no confirmed release date. However, during a tour stop in Las Vegas, he assured them that the release date is imminent.
“I know y’all worried about this album. You think I’mma wait till, like, next year to drop this s—t. I promise you I’m not. I promise you,” he said. “I got an album coming out called For All the Dogs. It’s — I know I say this a lot — it’s real close. I might give you the date in Vegas, maybe tomorrow night. I don’t know. I gotta go listen to it one more time. It’s coming. It’s coming real soon.”
Drake also recently showed his generosity by gifting $50,000 to a fan who had reportedly sold all his furniture to attend the “It’s All A Blur Tour” in Las Vegas. In the moment caught on camera, Drizzy said: “My man, your furniture money, Ima give you 50 bands tonight because I love you,” he said, while emphasizing the importance of empathy and understanding others’ struggles.
“This is what life is about, I’m tryna teach you something tonight. I want you to understand something tonight. You never know what the next person is going through.”
