The event held at Louis Vuitton Foundation’s Auditorium was live-streamed by French producer OuMardinho on Instagram. Jay-Z hasn’t released a solo LP since 2016’s confessional album 4:44 and fans were hoping for some new music at the concert. While that didn’t happen, the rapper’s old albums continue to reach new heights. This week the Recording Industry Association of America announced that his 2001 classic album The Blueprint is certified triple platinum. Previously, it reached double platinum status on May 1 of 2002, according to the RIAA.

Vol 2… Hard Knock Life was also certified six times platinum by the RIAA per Chart data, becoming his highest certified album in the US. The title previously belonged to his joint album with Kanye West ‘Watch The Throne.’
