Joe Budden returned to Complex offices to crown The Best Rapper Alive. Speaking with host Bryan “B. Dot” Miller, the hip-hop media personality and former Slaughterhouse member ran through several keenly contested matchups including Drake vs Pusha T, Kanye West vs Future, Benny The Butcher vs Freddie Gibbs, Nas vs Jay-Z, and J. Cole vs Eminem before crowing Jay-Z as the best rapper alive.
“The best rapper ever is the best rapper alive,” he said. He also briefly touched on being signed to Roc-A-Fella Records. “For an hour and a half I was over there. Good times, I was excited. I’m still waiting on my Roc-A-Fella chain.”
