Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” Early Sales Projections

UPDATE: “Pink Friday 2″ is now projected to debut at No. 1 in the US, with 199K units sold in its first week. This is poised to be the first No. 1 and biggest sales week for a female rap album in over five years.

Nicki Minaj‘s long-awaited album “Pink Friday 2” is generating positive buzz and impressive sales projections. Released after a five-year hiatus, the album boasts collaborations with prominent artists like Drake, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, and Future.

Preliminary projections by HitsDailyDouble estimate “Pink Friday 2” to debut with 170K-190K copies sold in its first week. This figure is comparable to the first-week sales of her 2018 album “Queen,” which moved 185K copies.

With this projected performance, “Pink Friday 2” is poised to become Nicki Minaj’s third number-one album, solidifying her position as the female rapper with the most chart-topping albums.

Adding to the excitement, the rap legend has teased a deluxe edition of the album. Shortly after the release of “Pink Friday 2,” Minaj took to Twitter to address fan feedback and announce additional songs to be included in the upcoming deluxe edition.

“Next week, [Gag City] welcomes a new edition every day beginning Monday or Tuesday,” she tweeted. “Every day until Friday, you’ll get an additional song that completes my favorite body of work to date. Four more songs. Two names on a very important song rhyme with Schmechia Schmole & Schmonica [Gag City] [Pink Friday 2]. What’s your current three top [favorites]?
