Eminem Disses The Game & ‘Juice Head’ Melle Mel on New Track

Must Read

Earlier this year, veteran hip hop rapper Melle Mel claimed in an interview with the Art of Dialogue that Eminem is only rated in hip hop because of the color of his skin.

“If Eminem was another nigga like all the rest of us, would he be Top 5 on that list when a nigga that could rhyme just as good as him is 35?“ Melle Mel said, while criticizing Billboard’s Top 50 Rappers Of All Time List. “Eminem gets a top spot because he’s white,” Mel later added.

Today (Aug 4) Eminem has responded to those remarks. In his verse on Ez Mil’s new single “Realest,” the Detroit legend scoffed at the notion  that he’s only recognized as a top rapper due to his skin color.

“Guess I’ve really no right to complain much (Nah)/Hip-hop has been good to me, huh? (Well)/But when they say that I’m only top five ‘Cause I’m white, why would I be stunned? / My skin color still workin’ against me / ‘Cause second I should be to none / Being white ain’t why they put me at five / It’s why they can’t put me at one.”

Eminem also directly addressed Melle Mel in his verse, calling him out for having a “half destroyed” brain.

“Shoutout to Furious Five and Grandmaster Flash, but boy/ There’s someone who really is furious/ Stay out his path, his wrath avoid/ I’ll be the last to toy with a juice head whose brain is half destroyed, like a meteor hit it/ Now with Melle Mel, he lost his ass to ‘roids.”

Eminem also took the opportunity to finally respond to The Game’s previous remarks. The Compton rapper had suggested that Eminem wasn’t as significant as him because his music doesn’t get played in clubs. In his verse, Eminem reacts to this by implying that the only reasons that The Game’s music gets airtime in clubs is because he still performs in them.

“And that is the only retort, is I’m not played in the clubs (What?) / Motherf–ker, put a cork in it / Only reason they still play your s–t in the club (Why?) / Is ’cause you still perform in ’em (Ha-ha).”

Later in his verse, he takes aim at the newer generation, particularly Gen Z, who questioned his rap style. “Gen Z is actin’ like rap experts, zip up your gaps and close your mouths (Yeah) / B**ch, you ain’t been on this planet long enough to tell me how rap’s supposed to sound / Y’all need to stick to what you do best (What?) / Shootin’ schools up, Gat’ go load up rounds in your parents’ Gats and go to class and let off with the strap and go to town.”
