Chrisean Rock is advocating for the release of Blueface who turned 27 over the weekend. The Thotiana rapper is currently locked up at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles for violating the terms of his probation and would remain behind bars till the summer.
Despite their tumultuous on-and-off relationship marked by domestic violence, infidelity, public spats, diss records and manipulation, Rock, who shares a child with her Crazy In Love co-star, led a crowd in a “Free Blueface” chant during a recent stage appearance.
The video was shared on her Instagram account to the disappointment of her fans who recalled Rock’s past desire to see Blueface behind bars after he allegedly beat her up last month. Many threatened to unfollow her while others pointed out the contradiction in her actions.
“The fact that she comes on this platform trying to make somebody feel bad for her and turn around and do this goofy sh*t is insanity!” one person wrote in the comments.
“Wait what?!?!?! Not the one who just beat her up??? Okay I had enough,” another person added, while a third person said “About to unfollow I feel like i’m supporting domestic violence,”
“There’s nothing Godly about you & blue, he doesn’t respect you or women. We can’t keep defending you, sis. You on your own & I’m unfollowing,” wrote someone else.
Rock publicly demonstrated her loyalty to Blueface last week by attending a court hearing with the rapper before his arrest. While fans initially applauded her support, Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, who was also there during Blue’s surrender, dismissed the idea of genuine support. He claimed that Rock’s presence was merely a “clout move” and asserted, “She’s the reason why he’s in there.”
Meanwhile, TMZ reports Blueface is currently kept away from the general population and is situated in the administrative segregation area where he receives his meals delivered and can leave his cell for a maximum of 7 hours per week.
